Mildura District & Returned Servicemen’s
Agricultural & Horticultural Society
Separate tenders are called for goods and services
and returnable to the Show Secretary on or before Friday 22nd August,
2008 for the right to supply
and sell the following commodities at the annual Mildura Show. The Show
will be staged over three days and three nights on OCTOBER 16th,
17th and 18th, 2008. Please note that successful
tenderers must comply with OH& S regulations at all times.
NOTE: Showmen’s Guild members
will be permitted to sell fruit juice, cordial drinks, fairy floss,
Dagwood dogs, waffles, toffee apples, snow cones, and doughnuts in the
sideshow area and from one other outlet in the vicinity of the
Secretary’s Office.
- Aerated drinks to be sold from three allotted stands (vicinity
main arena, fireman’s track, No 3 oval)
- Aerated drinks to be sold from one allotted stand (vicinity main
grandstand).
- Aerated drinks to be sold from two allotted stands (vicinity of
Secretary’s office, Harvest Hall).
- Fruit juice cordial drinks.
- Flavoured milk drinks.
- Juice bar.
- Saveloy and rolls.
- BBQ chops and or steak, only to be served with bread rolls plus
salad.
- Sausages
- Hamburgers.
- Potato chips.
- Dim Sims.
- Chicken or Chicko rolls.
- Pies, pasties and sausage rolls.
- Toasted bacon and egg sandwiches.
- Continental foods including spaghetti, meat balls etc.
- Continental foods – donar kebab.
- Continental foods – souvlaki.
- Hot baked potatoes with a variety of hot and cold fillings. May
be served in a polythene container. (Stand located at the discretion
of the secretary).
- Hot roast lamb, beef and pork sandwiches and hot packs. (Note
this stand will be located on No. 3 oval)
- Mobile pizza van.
- Mobile cappuccino machines (located at the discretion of the
secretary) - three sites. One will be located in the Harvest Hall
area. Tenderers must indicate the tender price separately for each
site
- Asian style takeaway food in plastic containers (Harvest Hall)
- Ice cream – sticks and wrapped lines. Please indicate on tender,
type of ice creams offered.
- Soft serve Ice cream confection (served in cone or container).
- Strawberries and ice cream.
- Apple pies.
- Doughnuts.
- Pancakes
- Luncheons, morning and afternoon teas, evening meals and supper.
Dining room located on the grounds with some facilities available.
Successful tenderer will be required to supply own equipment
including necessary seating. Where heavy electrical equipment is
used the successful tenderer will be required to pay for power used.
Serving of breakfast will be optional. Sole rights accompany this
tender, with the exception of continuous teas and coffee sales on
the grounds, the “Oasis” marquee on No. 3 oval and mobile cappuccino
coffee stands on the show grounds.
- Hay, chaff, oats, straw and pellets (samples to be provided).

CONDITIONS OF TENDERING
People involved in food
handling must comply with appropriate Health Regulations. Selling price
of each commodity must be given with each item tendered for, stating
size, type and weight of each item to be sold.
SEPARATE TENDERS MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR EACH ITEM
Combined tenderers who show tendered price(s) for
each item(s) will be considered, and if multiple items are tendered for,
please indicated order of preference. Tenderers are advised to make
themselves conversant with the other items for which tenders are called
and the conditions under which they are to be sold.
ENTRY – Last year the committee has
introduced a system of wristbands to allow entry for your staff and
volunteers, and this system will continue this year. A different
coloured wrist band will be provided for each day of the show, and these
must be worn on the wrist to gain entry.

Wristbands will be provided for six people where a tender
is up to and including $999
·
Wristbands will be provided for eight people where a
tender is from $1000 to $1999
·
Wristbands will be provided for ten people where a tender
is from $2000 and $2999.
·
Wristbands will be provided for twelve people where a
tender is from $3000 to $3999
·
Wristbands will be provided for fourteen people where a
tender is greater than $4000
Note where the
one organization applies and is successful for multiple items on the
tender list above, the total tender price will be taken to calculate the
number of wristbands to be forwarded to your organization. Where
further wristbands are required, these will be available at the
Secretary’s office at a cost of $20 per set for the three days.
Requirements for extra
wristbands to be purchased should be indicated on the tender that you
forward to the Show Society.
Gas or electricity
operated appliances must be used and must comply with relevant
regulations. Fire extinguishers must be on hand – where legally
required. The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
TEN PERCENT OF THE PRICE TENDERED MUST ACCOMPANY
TENDER.
