Membership
The 2008 Mildura and District Agricultural Show will be
held on October 16th, 17th and 18th. The committee has been
planning since last January another exciting and spectacular
show of equestrian events, agricultural and pavilion
exhibits and family entertainments.
Membership subscription
this year will be $40 and offers many benefits and is the
most economical way of attending the show. The subscription
comprises one member's ticket, one adult guest ticket and
three school age children's tickets. The allows ticket
holders to come and go as many times as they like for the
three days of the show. Other privileges members enjoy are
entry to the members grandstand reserve, members lounge, and
reduced entry fees when entering exhibits into the show.
This year some of the
features of the show include:
Sunraysia Daily - Elliot Emu Trail,
Thomsons Accountants and Advisers - Harvest Hall, Lower Murray Water -
'Memories Flooding Back', Garden expo,
Six bar show jumping competition, Perrys Family Circus, Sunraysia Medical Imaging - Hands on pets, Amcor Fibre
Packaging - Dog Jump, National Australia Bank - Animal
nursery, Devilees Airconditioning and Refrigeration - Saturday night
fireworks, Lencia Juices Thursday night fireworks, Clarry
Jones, Bidgee Finance and Elders Fat Lamb
competition, Show rides, and a host of other entertainment
and amusements.
Exhibitions and
displays that you can enter in and see, include:-
Art, cattle, poultry, photography, cooking, cereals,
citrus, highland dancing, home brew, wine, needlework,
plants and flowers, preserved fruit, sheep, dogs, fruit and
vegetables. Entries can be made at the Secretary's office
at the showgrounds, or mailed to Show Society at the address
below. Entry forms are available to be printed off from the
website at
www.mildurashow.org.au
Tickets will be available
at the Show Office or via mail with your
payment of $40 to the Secretary, Mildura Show Society, PO
Box 4025, Mildura, Vic, 3502. Alternatively, tickets
are available to be purchased from Cartridge World stores,
Lime Avenue, Mildura or the Mildura Central Plaza.
By becoming a financial member early in the season, you are
helping the Society in their forward planning. Your
assistance in the past has been greatly appreciated and we
